Here’s a unique opportunity to gain practical skills experiencing a day of HIPP training with youth followed by a day learning how to facilitate HIPP activities. Adults who register may bring 1-3 youth.
HIPP, Help Increase the Peace Program, Training
for social workers, teachers, youth workers and teen leaders. HIPP practices make schools and programs safe and respectful. HIPP gives youth and adults peaceable inter-personal with activities that teach them:
- To be inclusive, accepting and respecting all people regardless of differences
- To demonstrate respectful attitudes and behaviors that promote mutual respect
- To communicate effectively, listening actively and empathetically
- To resolve conflict peaceably without abuse or violence
- To build more trust between individuals and among groups of people
- To cooperate and collaborate with others to find creative solutions to problems
