Executive Office of Health & Human Services draft public hearing notice for FY 2010 budget

Executive Office of Health & Human Services draft public hearing notice for FY 2010 budget ( Boston 8/27/08 & Springfield 8/28/08)

Please find below an announcement around EOHHS budget hearings. This is a great opportunity to ask the administration to FUND the important bills recently signed into law around foster parent rates and tuition / fee waivers.

Please feel free to share this with other foster parents who are interested in advocating. EOHHS is happy to work with you and others on drafting testimony. The message is similar to when they were advocating for bill passage – now, they simply want to express appreciation for the strides they have made and ask the administration to take the next step and adequately fund the new laws!

Nominate MARE for AMEX Members Project

Members Project® is an exciting initiative that brings people together to help make a difference. Please support the project we have submitted "
Break the Cycle of Abuse-Find Adoptive Families" and we might just win $1,500,000!!! Imagine how many waiting children that could help!

Between now and Aug. 31, 2008, we need you to do two things:
  1. Nominate our project to reach the Top 25

  2. Campaign for MARE's project by promoting it on the Members Project Discussion Boards and telling all of your friends and family members about it using the helpful tools on http://membersproject.com
Last year, Members Project participants helped provide clean drinking water to children all across Africa.

This year, maybe MARE's work to find adoptive families for children in foster care will receive $1.5 million!

Please help now. We already have 19 nominations!
