Join members of the Commission and fellow support group facilitators for a half-day workshop on "How to Create and Sustain a Successful Support Group for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren." This workshop is for anyone who is interested in starting a support group for grandparents and relative caregivers but just didn't know how to get it off the ground. This workshop is also for anyone who has already started a support group and is looking for new and creative ideas to sustain the group. This workshop will: - Provide you with information and resources for grandparents and kinship caregivers - Prepare you to start a new support group specific to kinship caregivers' needs - Discuss how to improve facilitation skills - Discuss creative ways to obtain funding - Share "best practices" for support group meetings. |
