hope worldwide/boston church of christ is once again giving our foster youth t he chance to win scholarships for writing essays and the winners get the scholarships to go toward college. deadline is jan. 5

I just wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas!

For those who celebrate Hanukkah I hope you are enjoying your celebration.

For those who dont celebrate either, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

 

I am thankful for each and every one of you, and happy that the children of Cape Ann have such safe and loving homes to lay their heads in time of need.

 

For the foster parents who both received two little ones just a few short days before Christmas, I am in awe, how you will each create a wonderful holiday for these four boys going through such a difficult time.  I am barely on top of gifts for my children, to add to more little ones amazes me! thank you!

Please Post and Share with Families   Family Rounds A monthly series for parents and professionals December 15, 2011~ 12 noon - 1:30 p.m. ~  Board Room @ Davenport 4, Salem Hospital   "Becoming familiar with (CHINS) Child in Need Service" Presenter:   Jessica Berry, Staff Attorney ~ Children's Law Center of Massachusetts    The Child in Need of Services (CHINS) law in Massachusetts creates a procedure for parents, police officers, and/or schools to require a child who has not committed a crime but who is running away, skipping school, or seriously misbehaving at home or in school to go to Juvenile Court to work with a Probation Officer or go in front of a Judge.   This training will introduce the basics of the Child in Need of Services (CHINS) law and how that law plays out in the Juvenile Courts. It will define the various types of CHINS and who can file for them, explain the pre-court and court procedure in a CHINS, and outline the possible outcomes in a CHINS case. Advantages and disadvantages of filing a CHINS will be presented. The training will also briefly discuss current efforts to reform the CHINS law.       Lectures are free on the third Thursday of the month at Board Room @ Davenport 4, Salem Hospital ~ right off the elevator of Davenport Bldg.                                                                           Registration is required.  Email ithomson@partners.org or call 978-354-2670

PAYMENT Issues

 

For those who noticed a smaller payment than ususal,  there was a glitch....

Good Morning..

Just wanted to let you know that the foster/adoptive payroll that was processed last week, 12/6, had an issue in processing the actual checks/EFT's.

Checks/EFT's were processed for 3 different dates 12/8; 12/9; 12/12;  In a majority of cases, this caused "split" payments to occur where providers are receiving checks/EFT's on different dates for different services.

I would say, those checks/EFT's dated 12/8, providers should have rec'd by today.  Checks/EFT's dated 12/9 & 12/12 they should receive by Wednesday.
