Please share this with the foster youth on your caseload attending college.  Tim and Kristen at Central have the dates listed below when they are available to meet at the colleges to review the youth’s financial aid and to assure they have applied for everything they are eligible for.  Very important for them to attend.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi,

Please share the below information with the students you work with, encourage them to come meet with us while on campus.  We will be sending e-mails and flyers to all students on the ETV Master List.  If you see that we have the incorrect contact info for a student let us know, we do see a lot of emails kick back to us.  We will have the most up to date account info from each college that day while on campus. Students can either schedule specific times with us or drop in.

All students are welcome to come and meet with the Education and Training Social Worker from DCF who can assist you with your educational and financial needs on and off campus. Learn about supports that are available to you through DCF and your college or training program.  Receive assistance with all your financial aid applications for 2013-2014, including FAFSA.

 

Helpful things to bring: student account history, current bill, financial aid award letter, transcript, book receipts.
