Action Needed: Children's Mental Health Campaign Update

We need your help to reform Children’s Mental Health before it is too late!

The Children’s Mental Health Campaign needs your advocacy on two important items pending in the legislature:

1) We only have a few more weeks to pass SB 2518 “An Act Relative to Children’s Mental Health!”  Please contact your Senator and Representative (by clicking the link below) and ask them urge the Senate President to move the bill to the Senate floor.

2) State Senate's FY 2009 budget contained $250,000 in new funds to begin implementation of the Massachusetts Child Psychiatric Project (MCPAP) in schools.  These mental health consultative services will allow schools to better address the mental health needs of their students.  Because this funding was not included in the House budget, it is important that all Representatives and Senators hear from us to make sure that it is included in the final version of the State FY 09 Budget.

Take a moment to click here and send an email to your Senator or Representative.  Feel free to alter the message using your personal or professional experience!
