DSS Adolescent Services - College Orientation Program

Department of Social Services

College Orientation Program

DSS is hosting its first ever College Orientation Program.  This will be a great opportunity for adolescents who are going to be first time college/vocational training students in the fall of 2008. Students can learn with their peers about a variety of services that will be available to them when they enter college or a vocational training program.  A panel of current DSS college students will be assembled to answer questions that new students might have and share relevant experiences they have encountered.  Workshops will include topics such as financial aid, student services, health and nutrition, and DSS supports.  DSS will be assisted by the Mass Education Finance Authority and Quinsigamond Community College to deliver these all important workshops.
