LAST chance to PREVENT 25% CUT to clothing allowance! Dear CAN members:   Yesterday, the Senate Ways and Means Committee released their fiscal year 2012 budget recommendations. Despite our advocacy efforts to preserve foster children's clothing allowance, the committee has included a nearly $19 million cut to DCF funds in their recommendations.   If allowed to stand, this cut will necessitate a 25% reduction in the clothing allowance which pays for coats, shoes, underwear etc…for foster children This is our LAST opportunity to influence the fiscal year 2012 budget and PREVENT this cut.    Click HERE to contact your Senator today to ask them to sign on as a co-sponsor to Senator Rodrigues' amendment to reverse this draconian cut and preserve funding for foster children's clothing allowance.    Thank you,   Nancy L.
